The Themes of SIN Bad Blood
SIN Bad Blood explores the struggles faced by Charity, Remember, and other women in the past and the historical oppression of women as a backdrop for Nyx’s journey. I really wanted to delve deeper into the generational fear we see in the Vossen family and have used Nyx's assignment to do so.

In the dream segments from the past, we see that fear of persecution drove the Vossens across the ocean from their homeland, and that they maintained from the outset a protective distance from the townsfolk as a result. There is evidence of the Vossen curse and past trauma in Anna Van Der Voss, Catharina's sister.

There is warning in the past, evidence that what happens before happens in the present, which adds an element of foreboding to Nyx's visions of Charity in SIN Bone Deep, and her dreams now. Nyx is in danger, and that danger is from the past.

Ender/Mortavius
Ender represents not only the Lord of Death but also an ideal of unconditional love that transcends mortality. His relationship with Nyx is deeply rooted in emotional complexity; he embodies the protective and nurturing side of sexuality. Ender serves as a mentor for Nyx, guiding her to understand her powers and autonomy as a succubus. His approach to intimacy promotes a recognition of Nyx's emotional and physical needs
. Through Ender, Nyx experiences a non-objectifying love that encourages her to explore her womanhood, both in dimensions of physicality and emotional connectivity.
Mal
Mal, as a fallen angel, introduces chaotic and passionate elements to Nyx’s exploration of her sexuality. He initially takes on the role of a lover who fuels her desires but also complicates them with power dynamics and revenge. Their relationship embodies the darker aspects of sexual power–both alluring and fraught with manipulation.
Despite this conflict, Mal ultimately provides a space for Nyx to challenge her feelings of shame associated with her sexuality. His desire for her pushes her boundaries, and in the struggle between love and obsession, Nyx learns to reclaim her power in their dynamic.
