Evariel Moss

Evariel Moss is Everleigh Miles' YA/NA penname for ages 14 and upwards

My 14 year old daughter requested that I write something that she can read. As a result I am currently working on The Songbird in Golden Cages, the third book in The Curse of the Goblin King Trilogy which I'm hoping to traditionally publish.

Book One - The Changelings of Havenbrook

Circe Gravehart has never been ordinary - her family are witches and warlocks who have long owned Gravehart House, cemetery, and mortuary in Havenbrook.

But seventeen years ago, a family secret came to light: Circe’s great-grandfather made a bargain with a Sidhe to save his son from the Spanish Influenza. The price? The first daughter born of his line.

Circe is that daughter. And on her eighteenth birthday, the Fae will come to collect.

With time running out, her parents drag her back to Havenbrook, hoping the family’s ancient library holds the key to breaking the curse. But breaking a deal with the Fae is never simple - and never safe.

Now Circe must juggle starting at a new school, fending off bullies, and resisting the dark pull of the Sidhe who already calls her his. He’s younger and far less monstrous than she expected - yet cold, cunning, and undeniably dangerous. And when he gives her a spell for revenge that goes horribly wrong, Circe risks exposing her family’s witchcraft to all of Havenbrook.

But beneath her personal battles lies an older, darker story: the fall of the Goblin King, a Sidhe ruler whose cursed kingdom has been twisted into nightmare. Somehow, his fate is tied to hers.

Circe has less than two years left of freedom in which to find a way to escape the deal that binds her to the Fae… before it’s too late.

Book Two - The Labyrinth of Shadows and Truth

Circe Gravehart is done waiting for fate to decide her future.

Bound by an ancestral bargain to the UnSeelie King, Varyn, Circe knows her time is ticking away. When he comes to claim her on her eighteenth birthday, she will lose her freedom forever. Yet their connection has already blurred the line between love and destiny, and she refuses to wonder forever whether his heart is real or merely bound by magic.

To find the truth and a way to break the curse, Circe enters the Labyrinth, an ancient Fae trial where one wish is granted to the victor and all others are lost to the maze. But beneath its shifting walls lie rivals hungry for power, monsters born of forgotten pacts, and the eyes of the Fae court, eager to watch her fail.

As the thirteen suns rise, Circe must decide whether love can survive without freedom, or if choosing herself means losing him forever.
